My car is the 991 C2.

If it is the brake pump, is this normal or is there a fix for it?
They told me it was normal - either I've gotten used to it or, as they said, it's fixed after few thousand miles of use (5K in my case)...it's not as bad as it was before...

How many miles you've got on your C2?

Currently, it has ~1200miles. The noise started around 800miles. It was quite loud at first and has quieted down since the initial onset. I can still hear it well though. The noise is like a whistle or ping (tong). I thought it was the PDK clutch engaging but I heard it today by pumping the brakes. It is only 2months old and I figured I should just drive it and hope that it goes away after break in.

Did the dealer fix it or did it go away on its own?

There are other little squeaks as describe by OP creeping up (i.e. seats, speakers, etc.) The 997.1 seems like it was a better built car. I did not hear as much squeaks and rattles as I do with 991, but it may have been due to the fact that 997.1 car had the PSE option. Lucky for me it is a 24month lease. I think I would be more upset with the little issues if it was a long term car.

Do yourself a favor and stop looking. Mine made noise and after three trips to the Dealer to repair it, it is silent. It's a known defect and is repairable.

I had the rattle - loud!

The dealer found that it was a wiring harness inside the mechanism that wasn't insulated and was knocking against somethings else. Now fixed.
