There are lots of threads about manual v pdk.
I don't see aqua blue as a standard color choice for the 2014 991s. I think it is special order only at this point. See here: https://www.6speedonline.com/forums/...ml#post3932462
Aqua blue would be rarer, however for my money a white over any number of interior choices looks fantastic.

White (Platinum Carrera S wheels); 7 speed if for Kaities, PDK if for the Beltway.
I have a C2S Cab 7 MT love it. Always puts a smile on my face! That being said I do not have to contend with busy city streets. If you are a track guy, city driver, someone who likes the newest technology and the fastest shifts I would say PDK. If you like the complete interaction with the car I would say 7MT. If you read enough opinions on this from journalists you will find similar opinions.
Aqua blue is replaced by Sapphire blue for MY2014. You can only get Aqua blue via PTS.
Stick vs. manual is a very personal choice, where everybody has a different opinion. I like them both, but for me personally was PDK the best choice since I will drive at least 50% in traffic or in city. There is where I prefer an automatic mode. Still have my Boxster with a manual though...

That said the 7 speed is outstanding in the gears that you drive in, and has an economy overdrive 7th to boot for log stretches of highway. You can't go wrong.

This is such a subjective thing. I'm conservative with colors so I've only had black and white cars. So I vote white. Timeless especially on a 911.
Transmission is tougher. I don't mind the stop and go shifting in traffic for the joy of shifting on weekends and all of the other times I'm not in traffic. The PDK is so good that I don't judge but the joy of driving for me specifically involves a clutch and shifting.

Color on a car in pictures is very misleading. I have seen white cabs with red interiors that look fabulous in pictures but in real it may not look that wow. My advice is always see the colors in real on the model u wanna buy
I learnt heel toe etc and it is fun but now I prefer pdk in manual mode all the time . I like shifting down using paddles and first gear is so much more easily accessible with pdk around slow bends etc

Manual vs PDK
Manual has more driver involvement and costs less. I also notice a lot of posts about hesitation like turbo lag with the PDK. Unless you drive in stop & go traffic every day, I would choose manual. PDK is top shelf for automatics and they have come a long way but you have to decide what works best for you.
I only wish Porsche wasn't being so heavy handed by ramming the PDK choice for us for some models. We can customize the car to the Nth degree but not get order a manual 991 GT3 or turbo. P&L strategy trumps customer focus.

PDK vs. manual, keep in mind if you go PDK to try and drive cars w/ both multifunction and SD steering wheels, honestly the main reason I very rarely shift for myself w/ the multifunction is I can't stand the buttons. One of the reasons I'm going sportdesign for next one.
White, PDK!! I asked similar questions when I was building mine. So glad I took the advice from members as white certainly doesn't get as dirty as black and easily dusts off. The PDK is really just optionality esp if you get the sports design steering wheel - once you get the hang of it you'll be hitting the paddles around corners etc!
