2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray vs. 2013 Porsche 911 Carrera S
Corvettes don't have a torsion bar suspension. It is a composite, transverse mounted leaf spring in lieu of a traditional coil spring. Most consider that a detriment to handling. It also has packaging and weight advantages.

Don't forget it wasn't just the tires. The magnetic ride suspension and performance traction management in conjunction with the Michelin cup tires turned the Z06 Z07 into a track beast.
I had a '07 Z06 without the Z07 package (it wasn't offered) and it was a handful. Why you would of thought you were driving a 70's 911 the way the rear end would engage in a fist fight with the front end to determine who would go through the corner first.

Couldn't stop laughing...

Only an owner (or other 'Vette enthusiast) would have no problem with everything I typed.
Both constructors have proven that if you put enough R&D into something, you can make it almost as good as theoretically ideal, instead of just starting over with the theoretically ideal, and making it even better through R&D.
Where do you buy the Corvettes with the torsion bar suspension?
As for the subject at hand the new vette is a bargain as usual and the 991 is a better all around car IMO but you pay for it. To me its really that simple.
Owned 2 C6 Z06 (one w PS1) before my GTR A10 and I was in love with them, very cheap to modified vs the GTR LOL
I hope this new C7 Z07 comes with a very good "Bang for the Buck"
Until then the 991 is the #1 choice

Regarding Suzy's youtube post - I had to stop... When the guy was going on and on about the emotional gratifying sensation from driving the Ferrari, I had to stop.
He couldn't get past the Ferrari badge.
This hurts, because I wanted to watch the rest of the review, I'm the biggest Ferrari fanboy in here (probably), and the F12 is currently my favorite car, but this sort of bias does not help the reviewer's credibility (with me).

Would be a dream to get one for that price! Mine is $235k... Baseprice is $164k for the C4S (although that is incl. 8% VAT)

Ow and FYI... The F12 does not win

You can watch untill the end Jasper... No problem. They do that with all three the cars. It's in fact something I notice with a lot of American reviewers I watch on youtube. They often seem to be extremely enthusiast, but in the end the conclusions are pretty fair though.

Thanks! I'll give it a shot later (after work). But if the F12 doesn't win - it's hogwash anyway.
