Help with Exterior color choice for Carerra S cab with Carerra red Interior

Hello Folks,
We wanted to give our recent feedback fom test drive ask for opinions/pictures on a Cab build for my friend

I have a 13 Boxster S pdk, sport chrono, PSE etc and he wants to get a 911 Carerra cab .

So, we test drove back to back both the Carerra and S , both with PDK and PSE but no PDCC on S

Our observations
1) Stepping out my Boxster S PDK andPSE car into 911 Carerra cab and driving it the 911 power felt very similar to my Boxster S ( same 3.4, minor hp difference) but my Boxster S felt spritier due to less weight I guess so we wanted to try the 400 hp S
2) Yes, the 911 S cab felt much more torquier than carerra or my Boxster S and it felt more of an engine upgrade from my Boxster S motor and 911 carerra motor . The 50 more horses and 40 more lb-ft torque made a noticeablae difference in 2 nd and 3rd gears.

3) Ride: The Base 911 had 20 " wheels and ride was not bad BUT the S ride with PASM in normal mode felt way better. For comparison purposes ,the 911 S with PASM in normal had better ride than my Boxster S with 19" wheels ( Std. suspension) which was better than 911 carerra with 20 " wheels on std suspension

4) PSE sound: MY boxster S sounds much more louder with PSE ON even when top is up and can clearly hear the pops/gargles etc but our test 911 and 911 s cabs with PSE ON ,Top up , it was very subtle even when engines were warmed up. Not sure if it is like that but 911s with PSE on and top up, did not sound any thinkg like my Boxster s- top up ( may be in my car the engine/exhaust is closer? or just that the 911s were too new and needed some miles to sound better ?)

We did not drive top down as it was very hot and muggy but i drove the 911s cab during last year launch - top down only and it did sound awesome

5) Handling : My 981 S and 911 cab both handle great on street corners etc, they feel different but both immensly capable . I suggested PDCC as the 911 cab and my 981 S lean a little mre than i like in agressive cornering. 911 Careerra cab had power steering plus and it did not feel right

Since my friend prefers a 911 cab,i am still on the fence to see which i like more , he is set on
1) Carerra S, PDK, PSE, sport chrono, PDCC ( i influenced him to get that option , Prem package plus , parking sensors and folding mirrors, Carerra classic wheels and standard audio ( no bose or Burmester )
1) Carerra red interior ( it does look rich and nice with black top
2) I suggested Agate Exterior to go with red interior but he is not sure and does not want any Silver , so it is either (white or Black exterior-) with black top

Does any one have pictures of Red with black interior and black top on 911 cab?
Any suggestions on exterior colors with red Interior on 911 Cab ?

I like your agate grey suggestion. Barring that, I think that white is the best choice with a red interior. Your friend might think about adding some carbon fiber to spice up the interior....

Also, use the configurator and switch to 3D mode to get the best available virtual look at the combinations. I agree "real" pictures are best.

We saw a red interior and it looked great with the silver trim- in fact the silver trim looked more like shiny stainless steel against the rich carerra red interior

my dealer had an awesome set up that i was just about to order and if i did order as a second option this is what it would look like:
black standard exterior paint
black full leather interior
back and front seats in carerra red
full leather black interior with deviated stitching in carerra red.

this combo is available for 14's

it was an extremely classy feel and would go well with black exterior and cab top carrera red.

i personally think carrera red throughout the cabin is a bit too much, looks good at first glance but after a while can get to you, plus if you dont do full interior leather it'll start to appear like plastic.. my 2 cents.

White looks great with the Carrera red interior ... and a Carrera red top.

Of course, I am just a little biased.

Well, I have to admit, the car is standing still in my driveway and I used a motion blur filter in Photoshop on it ... LOL

I have clear markers on the car now. But I love the red interior and the red top really pops against the white. Looks great with the top down, too.

When I found the car online locally before buying it, I thought, red interior and top, no way ... but when I saw it in person, had to have it. It's the darker shade of red that makes it work, it would be way too much if it was lipstick red.
