I would say yes. Two of my friends with 991's got sunroofs without glass and they starting to wish they had glass now that it is raining more often. My parents have a C6 with both the painted targa top and glass top and use the glass top about 95% of the time.

+1 on the glass roof. It makes the car feel more airy and large. It also looks awesome, IMHO.

I'm surprised the weight of the sunroof has not been an issue so far. It is loads some additional kilos on the top of the car. This moves the center of gravity upwards, what causes more roll. I did not have the chance to drive cars with and without glass sunroof back to back, but I read posts from people who did. According to them, the glass roof changes the handling characteristics significantly. So if you go for the sunroof, you might wan't to consider PDCC as well. If you have not checked the box anyway.

Same here. Really like the light and the fact I can look through it at a high traffic sign or air plain when I'm in a traffic jam near an airport or something
I would say get it.

Have it and love it... In my previous car E92 M3, I did not have a sunroof and regretted it. I very rarely open it fully but I love the light coming even with the cover over it.

Go for it...

The glass roof looks odd on the light colored cars. It interrupts the flow of the car from end to end. It may provide interior light, but, for me, that is not something I am concerned with, and likely not preferred in hot weather areas. And, of course, if you opt for any of the special colors, you are cheating yourself, both on the cost, but more importantly, on the look. I have a lime gold S with the lowered body, PDCC/SPASM, and it is just awesome. Actually saw a base lime gold with the glass roof in RI last year. Not too bad, well sort of, and not the drop dead gorgeous car I smile in every day, with a full Luxor interior.

Theoretically, yes. But I doubt anybody will have a butt dyno sensitive enough to notice the difference.

FWIW, I have a glass roof in my Anthracite brown and liked it. So I could be biased.

My biggest concern would be the potential for rattles that sometimes accompanies a sunroof.
200% agree!

I'm not a fan of sunroofs in general and I don't like bright interiors, so for me no sunroof. I also like the clean lines of the roof without any sunroof.
That said... Everyone should choose what he or she wants. It's YOUR car and you need to choose what makes YOU happy.

What you are forgetting here is that a lot of Porsche buyers now are different than years past. A sunroof was a fairly undesirable option ( remember when it became standard in the 2005 GT3?-not so in "04. People were going nuts ) just for the reason you mentioned. It adds a lot of weight and changes handling characteristics. Of course, over the years Porsche has done things to mitigate the weight shift but it is still an issue.
Many new buyers now are as interested in the creature comforts as they are in the performance (sometimes even more concerned with "extras" that have little to do with performance.
