I need Help adding Heated steering wheel.

My 991 PDK C2S Cab has the multifunction but non-heated steering wheel. I want to replace it with the multifunction heated steering wheel. Searching yielded no definite answer as to whether I need to install a specific clockspring (part# 95865256813 by way of a call into Suncoast) to make it work. My car has heated seats so I don't think it needs a controller. Could anyone confirm this is definitely the case? This for sure has been done before! I don't understand why it wasn't ordered in the first place!

Thanks,
Loc

The controller is on the bottom and back of the wheel It is a button. Should be an easy swap

I was referring to the "controller" because someone here said you can only add heated steering wheel if you have existing heated seats. I have used the "button in the back" on my 997.2 and Cayenne GTS many times. I want the same button on the 991S. Thanks.

Been looking for over a year, wish it was possible. $1700 plus install labor for replacement multi-function wheel with heat option, and no guarantee it will work, is the best I've found so far. Let us know if you get it going

I've have the same dilemma. My car has the sport steering wheel - I want to swap out for the Techart MF with heating.

I can't seem to find a definitive answer to this. Anyone else with any knowledge of this?

I asked suncoast if it could be done on a 958 cayenne. No was the answer I received. Can't imagine its different for the 991.

991 unknown commodity

Sounds like you went through the same process I did adding heat to my 997.2 wheel. I'm told by Ric at Suncoast that it's not the same process with the 991? BUT I'm not convinced. Porsche sells a carbon wheel with MF and heat for all 991s...that means all 991s can have heat right? I have the sport design wheel and really miss the heat. I just saw Porsche e-brochure on their website indicating that all wheels can be had w/heat?? But build your own on the US site doesn't support that conclusion. My gut says it's very possible with a little experimenting. Good luck.

TIA

FWIW, my dealer says it cannot be done (at least on a 2014).
