My new c4s delayed in Houston, for potential seat problem (379 cars delayed)

AllfortheCash,
The latest I heard was that the seats will be replaced. I believe those cars that were held at the Port prior to the recall had the wiring harness replaced. Cars that made it pass the Port or in hands of the customers are having the seats replaced. The new seats are due in the next week.

PCNA and the dealer said they made an agreement with US government for this and the wiring harness fix was only for the cars in the port. German factory reps have made the fix and left the port already. All others including those on lots that are unsold must get their oassenger seat replaced. About 35 cars are affected was what PCNA told me. I think that meant in customers hands already. FYI, Lear makes the seats for Porsche and is producing the new seats which are supposed to be in next week. That's as much as I know.
PS No one is talking about any kind of compensation for this trouble but my dealer offered to pick the car up and bring it back.
