Who uses online service AHA?
Who uses online service AHA?
Apparently you can update the PCM with AHA.

Has anyone done this or used AHA?
Thoughts?

I use it fairly often it's a nice feature. The online POI search for the navigation works very well and is very convenient. The music part of the application is a bit of a hit or miss. When it works it's great because I love being able to access Internet stations from all over the world right on the PCM, however the app is very unstable and needs an update to fix the fairly frequent crashes of the radio service.
+1! Aha is a joke. There are multiple other options (Pandora, iTunes radio, etc.) that are way more user friendly and work better. And I see no value having Aha reading me my Facebook newsfeed when most of the posts are usually pictures. A bunch of other automakers are now developing interfaces (and iPhone integration) with Apple. I do not think that Porsche is part of it. Bad call.

Disappointing..
I've yet to see any auto that works very well with this kind of phone apps.. Have the same thing (they have a similar app) on a '13 Toyota Forerunner... and it is pretty useless.. one of those things you try out and then never use again. I've assumed the AHA would be better but maybe not. .
At the end of the day I get to look at my text messages on the car control panel. Or it provides data for one of the built in apps (pandora, open table, facebook etc).. that I could just as easily use on my phone a lot simpler via bluetooth.. Which as usual with anything bluetooth it is fussy and works about half the time.
What I just wish is that any of these auto OEMs would just integrate a built in Wifi hotspot (i.e. mifi) or let you link the data services up to your own personal hotspot via wifi.. And get away from these cheesy phone apps and linking the data via bluetooth or USB.. (I'm ok with the audio aspect).. Originally when I saw the GSM telephone module option I assumed it would also be able to source data if you had data service associated with your SIM card account. From what I understand, nope.. just for GSM voice.. Would be nice if they added data service that way.. I'd actually buy a extra data account from AT&T for that.
What I also don't understand is why the auto OEMs force you to use XM or worse yet their crappy iphone app to get traffic on the GPS display.. My $200 Garmin handheld just uses FM traffic, which so far seems to be available in the metropolitan areas on the U.S. and also has worked for me in northern Germany. I can only assume it is related to their marketing deals and not what is the most elegant solutions. For now I'm not wasting any time on it.. I'd rather just use my phone and bluetooth or USB the audio..

Although I've never used Aha, are there any other apps that can play internet radio through the car stereo? I'm not very knowledgeable when it comes to music service and phone technology but assuming it must be bluetooth based?
You can play any internet radio on your car stereo via Bluetooth streaming but only with aha can you change between Chanel's directly on the PCM screen. It is convenient especially if the phone is plugged in the glove box compartment.
