winter hiatus question
can't stand garaging the beast in the winter but rough new england winters don't mix well with rwd sports cars with zero ground clearance.
ctek 7002 doing its job but wondering if anyone has used tire cradles as opposed to overinflation or simply moving the vehicle every 2-3wks during hibernation. has anyone compared the different methods.
all opinions welcome
thanks

I also use a Ctek, good product. Personally, I think cradles are a PITA. I drive my cars every couple weeks, if possible. If snow/ice prevents this then I simply roll them around. Has worked for years.
I never mess with my tires, on some cars I have ended up with flat spots but they disappear after a short amount of driving, most of the time I haven't had any though, never had any on my porsches
I used tire cradles for 13 years on my 996 they worked perfect. Not a hint of hard spots .
Over inflation just makes the hard spots worse. I have decided for this car to drive it all winter so I put alpines on. If it gets really sloppy I'll just drive my 4Runner. I used to drive Corvettes for 15 years and sell them for more than I paid new. The 996 went from 90k to 20k in 13 years. So I decided to not save it for someone else.

CA must have been a great place before all the people moved in.
Since the cold weather in MN slows our metabolism we also tend to live longer.

I am on my 3rd 911 (997.1 / 997.2 / 991) and also live in New England. Get a good set of snows on dedicated winter wheels and just drive it all year. Remember these cars were designed in Germany and our winters are just long Springs by comparision to thiers.
I would be curious to compare % of european to NA that park them for the winter.
Lets not turn this into yet another 'just drive the 911 in the winter' thread... there is no right or wrong here, whatever floats your boat. Personally I simply have a better winter car than my lowered 911, and I enjoy driving that car just as much.
