Ready for WINTER

Many debates do I don't I, figured if I'm going to drive it in the winter may as well preserve my OEM painted rims. Dry sunny days only. Maybe some icey ones in a vacant parking lot

PS: on the other side of the minivan there is an 02 turbo with 150 km on it drives it year round. not a spot of rust and it shines up nicely.

Nice, congrats. I'm with you all the way, put the right shoes on and drive it. I'll make an exception if there's significant snow of course. I did it for years with a 335 convertible and never had an issue so I suspect my 4s will do just fine.

Are those the Sport Edition Cup 4 wheels? They look great! Kinda like the look of the 5spoke Sport Design wheels.

I am looking to pick up a set as well for winter duty. How do they feel so far? Are they heavier than the stock wheels?

They are aftermarket rims but very close to the 02 turbo

Not sure of the weight my porsche salesman set me up with them, had them installed today.

They feel great so far, it was rainy cold day and they cornerded well

Just put the same wheels on my wife's 997.2 4S. It's her year round daily driver. I'll drive my 991 S as much as possible this winter but not when it snows.

I got mine ready for winter duty too, and plan on driving it through the winter except for in significant snow fall. My summer setup is the P-Zeros on the Carrera Classics. I had an order in on a set of aftermarket rims for the winter setup but I decided to splurge and got a set of Carrera S rims with Michelin PA4s. The dealer mounted and balanced the wheels and delivered them to my house, and a friend and I did the swap on Sunday.

Where did you get it tinted? Looking for a good tint shop myself with experience with the 991.

Got everything done at Pfaff Tuning. They used Trimline inc. I didn't want to take it to several places for different things. The price was less than what the dealership offers and they came to Pfaff Tuning to do it. Got 35% all around - looks great! Highly recommended. I'll send you a pm
