Center lock wheels for 991 Carrera (base model)

I am new to this...would you please tell me which center lock wheels could be fit to the 991 Carrera base model?

Thank you and merry Christmas!

None, unless you change the hubs on your car.

While a center lock wheel is very attractive it comes with its own set of problems and challenges. The hubs are not durable and have to be replaced or refurbished at regular intervals if the car is tracked. The lock requires special tools and a great amount of force to secure or release

I have lug nuts and have replaced the locking lugs as i find them to be in inconvenient

Thank you very much for your helpful replies. Roughly what might changing the hubs entail in terms of expense? I will not be tracking the car; is it safe to assume that the hubs would not need to be replaced or refurbished at regular intervals?

That's correct. The extra maintenance is just for track use. See Attachment.

Once the hubs are changed, the wheels for the 991 Carrera (base model) would need to be 20x8.5 for the front and 20x11 for the rear, yes? Are there any particularly special forged center-lock wheels (available in the correct sizes) e.g. from Otto Fuchs, OZ, RAYS, or other manufacturers?

Note that the Sun coast site indicates the kit is for 997 Turbo and is for a PCCB braked car. The base 991 is neither.

Try with HRE Wheels, they have an excellent customer service.

Right, I doubt they actually make a kit to convert a base Carrera. I'm assuming one would have to modify something like that 997 turbo kit. So your talking $3,000-$4,000 to do it.

Would the Forgeline Center Lock Conversion or Flush Loc Conversion work for the 991 Carrera (base model), and if so, which would you recommend?

I will not go for ceramic brakes, just the standard brakes.

From HRE if possible I would go for P40S wheels with center-lock.

Is it possible to have a Porsche dealer order a 991 Carrera base model with center lock wheels (and winter tires) installed at the factory? I would like to avoid having to keep/sell wheels and tires which I would not need or use.

Ask the dealer. Frankly, i would save my money or buy something else like a high end audio system for the car, racing school where you can trash their cars and or a custom factory paint job and deviated stitching everywhere including on the headlight washers.

I think that the 991 Carrera GTS, when it comes along, will be the answer to what I am looking for, which is a manual-transmission normally-aspirated RWD 911 with center lock wheels. The GT3, since it is only available with PDK and paddle shifters, would not fit the bill. When may the 991 GTS become reality?
