Going on a roadtrip--what to do with spare key?

Hello and Happy Holidays...

Off on a chicago to miami road trip tomorrow.....

any idea where or what to do with spare key so that I don't get the alert from the car that there are 2 keys in the car?

thanks!

Well, you could leave the spare home, but I assume you're taking both with you because a spouse/friend who also drives the car is on the trip with you or you want to have both with you in Florida for all the common reasons that the car comes with two keys.

You do know a simple press of the MF button makes the alert go away, right? Why is that a problem?

The alert drops down and becomes a small icon.
