Corvette - "I have fallen and I can't get up"
This too is why I hate the bowtie. 1997 Cavalier here.
Sorry to hear! Mine was manual and no extras but air. It died at 40k miles and they just could not fix it. Offered me $300.00 on another Chevy. I told them that I was going to be successful and going to buy a lot of cars in my life - and none of them would ever be a Chevy. EVER! I learned a valuable lesson about how not to treat people and about standing behind your products and services.
'67 Stingray Convertible
PS: 327 cu/ 350 HP, 4-speed
I just bought this car and it's being picked up on Monday and shipped to me in Miami. I've already got new wheels, blue stripe tires, chrome bits, etc. on order to complete the restoration, as well as adding vintage A/C and power steering (both available original options that this car unfortunately doesn't have). It is freshly painted and has a new interior and new brakes. Professional inspector (NCRS) said it's in excellent condition and with a few minor things (like a few chrome pieces that I've already bought), it's a 1- show driver. Can't wait!

!!! What a classic beauty! I guess, must be your childhood/youth dream car??
I now own a '63 Healey which I love but it's too hot in Miami in summer to drive that car so a '67 Stingray with A/C will be fun around town. The Healey is in storage in Vermont and for the first time in 13 years we might not spend the summer there due to having been blessed with our first grandchild, so we're sticking close to her to help our son and DIL with day care so they can keep their jobs.
Corvettes and XKEs were the " everyday " exotica road cars for all of us who were kids in the mid 60s before the 911 later arrived on the scene.
Ferraris were never seen back then except in car mags , as most were used as gentleman racers or to cruise Hollywood, Monte Carlo or Lake Como.
That's about all there was.
Even in the early 80s you only had Countach and Boxer as supercars with 911 Turbo, Lotus Esprit Turbo and 308 a step below and that was it. Today many sedans would post better numbers on a stopwatch.

Looks like a beautiful ride. If I were to ever... you know, that Chevy thing...mine would be a 57 or 58 vette. A gym teacher in junior high (mid -70's) had one in yellow and white and I would stare at it out the window - which in part explains my math grades!
Drive it in good health!

One of many. Top two were the Jag XKE and the Austin-Healey 3000. Ferraris, Lambos, Cobras & 300 SL Gullwings were fantasy cars to me but the Stingray was something I did like as a kid and owned a '63 when I was 19 but it was a 250HP with 2-speed automatic and not much of a sportscar.

In 1977 I sold my beloved 1974 Alfa Romeo GTV 2000 for a 1966 Corvette Stingray 327 350/350. White exterior, blue interior am/fm radio, teak telescopic steering wheel and factory side pipes. For the times it had brutal acceleration, drove like a truck, handled better than expected, stiff clutch, very hot inside and the interior always smelled like gasoline, hence the occupants. At the time I loved the car, especially when you consider the American made alternatives, which had been castrated due to EPA regs. The C2 is a timeless beauty, but I don't miss it.
