I got it yesterday and just turned it on. I think it is quieter than my Craftsman shop vac. The whoosh of the air coming out of the hose is louder than the motors inside the housing. I will say, it is incredibly powerful, even with only 1 motor on. It's a nice feature to be able to adjust the airflow by turning on 1 motor or 2. I can already tell I am going to love this tool.
When I first used mine, I was afraid I was going to blow the Speedfilm off the front of the car!

yeah, that's why I'd always use the flat diffuser. Mine came with a point tip I'm pretty sure could cause some damage under the right conditions..
