New 991 Owner and Need Advice
I see that you're located in New York. You're welcome to give my AWE SwitchPath exhaust system a listen. If this sounds feasible, let me know and I'll drop you a PM (You can't send a PM unless you have 15 posts).
I do have PSE, but I'd be able to live with this system constantly activated, as there is no annoying drone to contend with.

Thank you again, Paul
Congratulations on the car.
Just to drive the point home... an aftermarket exhaust doesn't automatically "void" your warranty. You may, however, run into issues if something related to the exhaust system goes bad. For example, the dealer cannot blame a defective instrument cluster, or a bad headlight, on an exhaust modification. They *may* give you a hard time if your problem deals with the exhaust system or ECU codes related to air/fuel management, etc.
Again, though, most aftermarket exhausts (especially after the cats) won't give you any problems. I've taken my 991S in for service with an extremely loud exhaust, and neither my rep nor the technicians ever complained about it.
Now, on the topic of actual exhaust choices...
If you're not interested in having a "valved" system, then you have plenty of choices. You may look into Fabspeed's x-pipe or muffler replacements, CargraphicTS' x-pipes, FVD's mufflers, AWE, AFE, etc. I personally run the more aggressive, valved Cargraphic X-pipe (they have two designs), and the car is extremely loud and drones. It's a good deal louder than other exhaust systems, though.
You're close to CarreraPete... drop him a line like he suggested, or find other members/owners in your area and listen to the systems before pulling the trigger. Chances are high that you'll love a system you hear with your own ears, and you'll be good to go.
Let us know how it all goes.

Coming soon...once the rain, snow and sleet is really gone.
I drove the car home and parked it.

Paul,
Wanted to reach out and see how things were going. I'd strongly recommend against going with just an X-pipe, due to the considerable increase in overall sound at all times. The AWE Tuning SwitchPath system is perfect for maintaining civility around town, or when you're on the phone, but you're still able to crack it open and satisfy your auditory desires when wanted. A bit of Jekyll and Hyde, if you will.
Here's a great example of how our SwitchPath exhaust sounds, compared to the PSE, courtesy of Serge (SM_ATL on here).

Zach,
How does your Switchpath system work on cars that do not come with the Porsche Sport Exhaust? Do you have a way to turn the valves on and off wirelessly such as the Capristo system or must a switch be hard-wired into the car and it plumbed for the vacuum lines?

On PSE-equipped cars, switching functionality is enabled via the factory switch located on the console.
All SwitchPath Exhaust Systems come with extensions for the factory vacuum lines.

I wonder if there's a way to reprogram that...
