Shameful way to drive

I use my 991 C2 as a DD and my daily work commute involves me driving 18kms on a 6 lane highway.

Although i would love to barrel down these 18kms in sport + mode unfortunately there are speed cameras every 2 kms! with hidden speed traps that change locations all the time!

So im forced to travel at a maximum speed of 119 kph for about 15 mins twice a day which gets a bit tedious (im in a 911 and im saying this, shoot me now).

And because of this i have started doing the unthinkable.... driving on cruise control. Let the abuse begin.

No but seriously anyone else in this situation? I cant help but feel a little wasteful driving such an amazing sports car like that... but its my DD so what to do.

So wait, your situation is that you have to obey the speed limit or get a ticket? Am I missing something?

On the way home from our local track you have two choices. Put the car in cruise control or get a ticket.

Yes, seems pretty logical i know, but its frustrating knowing i spend 40% of my time in one of the greatest sports cars on cruise control...

I rented a car when I was over in Dubai and about 6 weeks after I got home I received an email from Hertz that I had over $3600.00 in speeding violations that needed to be paid.

Wow didnt you see the flashes go off? They are visible even in the day!

But you are right even though i try, i pay at least 200$ a month in speeding fines.

We regularly see people with over $50,000 in speeding fines in the newspaper here, i think the record is up to $400,000 for one person..

An man has racked up AED45,000 (US$12,251) worth of speeding fines in just five minutes driving down Sheikh Zayed Road.
Dubai traffic police impounded the unidentified man’s car for 360 days after speeding through 12 cameras along Dubai’s main highway, according to Arabic daily Al Ittihad.

I used to drive the EH daily. Lived in the Greens and commuted to Abu Dhabi. Had all the speed cameras located on the GPS. At that time, I think there were 5 or 6. Everyone would drive @ 200kph, slam on the brakes a couple of hundred meters before, pass it, then right back to 200!

I realized what was happening when the guy in front of me was slamming the brakes and then accelerating again, by that time I had racked up a lot of tickets I guess. When I finally noticed the flash's I told the guy I was with that I think I've been getting tickets, LOL

Or one of these....with just 40 HP you're not going to break any land speed records and you're still in a Porsche!

I ordered my car with ACC/PAS, so I wonder what people think of that?
