Engine Cover Part Loose?

Dealer did some work under my rear engine cover and took the fans out. Noticed the part that says Mobil One is loose today. Can't recall how it was but thought it was tacked down. Been back and forth a lot and don't want to go back for something that is OK.

Is the part that says Mobil One supposed to be loose? I doubt it but thought it was worth asking you folks before going back again. Searched the forums and there is nothing on this.

Thanks in advance.

Thanks does 195

Anyway, went to the dealer at lunch and this part as well as the fans are connected with grommets that seem to have a way of "falling in". They put new ones in and the car is fine now. FYI, keep an eye on this after oil changes because they take these parts out to access the filter and that is usually when get a diagnosis of "fallen grommets".

might be a good idea to keep a few of those in your tool box

probably 2 bucks each at Porsche parts counter and 10 cents each at hardware store

The first time I re-installed the fans after an oil change, I pushed the grommet through, but it was easy to put back and have not had any problems since. Glad that you got your problems resolved!

Do the grommets fall into the engine bay to never be seen again?

Exactly...old grommets never die, they just fade away.
