Just confirmed that this happens regardless of the sunroof. Stays up till the car gets rolling and retracts.

Hmm that is interesting. I confirmed the behavior of mine and it is stays deployed as I previously described.

So far the differences between yours and mine are (I think):

You SPASM though right on your C2S? (I don't)
You '13 vs my '14

So maybe it is one of those or one of our's is broken... or it's because of the SPASM or maybe the behavior changed between 13 and 14..

Yes mine's a 2013 but with a 2012 build date. I have SPASM, sport chrono and PSE. Between ignition cycles the spoiler switch does not stay lit. But the spoiler retracts only when the car hits 10mph.

I've gotten contradicting feedback about the spoiler position memory from both forum members and a guy at the dealership.

Can someone here be kind enough to check on their car if the spoiler position is saved to the key memory like the auto start/stop feature is. Basically I want to know if you had manually turned on the spoiler (spoiler switch lit position) will the setting be retained between ignition cycles.

not saved to key memory.
if it's up when the car is off, it will retract when you drive off.

Thanks, that's what I get too. My sales guy said he thought it was tied to the key memory, and that mine might be faulty.

Seems to me this is analogous to how the windshield wipers function - you can kill their movement with the key, but once you start again, they continue to their resting position.

Double checked mine again... If manually deployed It stays in the same position after starting as when I shut off.. Indicator on console switch also still shows spoiler is deployed.... No change after driving off..

Seems that there is definitely different behavior observed by different people.. Hard to say what is actually correct as there are probably arguments for both behaviors..

Wish the damn pse would stay on too..

I don't know if this helps, but I just tried this on my car:

1- switched off with wing up (switch lit) , turned on using same key and rove off: wing stayed up

2- did the same but with my spare key: wing stayed up

Maybe because I have a Carrera c2 not a c2s?

When you started it again did the switch stay lit?

So I took the car into the dealership today to have this checked. The SA also thought it was faulty. But then he drove a few other cars that were sitting on the lot a 2012, 2013 and a 2014 and they all did the same! The spoiler goes down at 9mph.

To be honest, based on the Porsche philosphy of making you set up almost everything related to driving modes everytime you start up, the spoiler automatically being stowed makes more sense.

That said, maybe mine is broken, but I like it that way.. So hopefully it doesn't get fixed on my next firmware update.

Only thing on mine that is persistent seems to be the Chassis mode. Sport chassis is persistent for mine as well.

I would've liked if the spoiler stayed up too
