Your profile indicates that you spend time in VT. What car do you have up there, or do you drive back and forth? Maybe the roads up there are more conducive to owning a 911?

I must confess a chuckle when I read your comment on the GTR.

This is my Vermont car, though I plan on shipping her back to Miami since I spend 9 months a year down there & only 3 months up here in the summer and early fall. I ship the car back and forth. I've made the trip back and forth about 20 times and am done with that. I fly now and pay someone to drive the SUV up with the pets and then back down in the fall.

Based on the number of times he OP has uploaded pictures of his beloved Austin-Healey on a 911 forum, I'm not entirely sure it's a case of the car not being conducive.

He's just not into his 911 anymore and wants to move on, which is completely understandable.

The 991 is not practical for his daily needs and as he had previously stated, he's looking for something "not as ostentatious" as his current line up of daily drivers (sans the much referenced Austin and Stingray).

os·ten·ta·tious
adjective
adjective: ostentatious
characterized by vulgar or pretentious display; designed to impress or attract notice.

synonyms:showy, pretentious, conspicuous, flamboyant, gaudy, brash, vulgar, loud

While some might be quick to describe the CLS63 AMG S with any one of the above-mentioned adjectives, it should be noted that due perspective has to be given to this and any similar situation.

Anyone who chides the OP for moving on is being terribly hypocritical as we will ALL get there one day.

Go forth and enjoy YOUR life..

The 911 isn't the least bit ostentatious but the Bentley certainly is and I can't see myself using it as my sole daily driver, especially living in Coconut Grove where crime is rampant.

As stated "he's looking for something "not as ostentatious" as his current line up of daily drivers..."

I am not insane enough to infer on THIS board that the flawless, perfect 991 might be viewed as ostentatious by some segments of society.

Ay, chihuahua.
