Lucky me!

So i got a pleasant surprise today...

I decided to get PSE installed on my 991 C2, which i wish i had done before but anyway thats for a different thread...

At the same time i noticed there was a recall for the instrument cluster.... Also i had some MAJOR rattling from the door panels whenever the music was turned up.

So i called my local service bros, and i asked them if they could provide a replacement vehicle for all the works... Unfortunately they said no, they could only provide it for the recall work.

Anyway after negotiating vehemently i was still unable to get them to provide me with one for more than a day.

However! When i brought the car in, they said they would provide me with one for the entire time, which would be a week, and that it was going to be a panemera 4s my2014!

Let me tell you this.... The car is fast, faster than my c2 in a straight line. Its optioned out very well and it is pure luxury inside.

I could not agree with you more regarding the P4S. It is quick, solid, and can comfortably transport four adults in style. As my wife likes to describe my P4S, every seat in the car feels like a first-class seat...I have front and rear heating and ventilating seats. I often think I have the best of both worlds with my 991 C4 and P4S.

The ventilating seats are awesome, and the car has pasm and sports chrono so its a monster.

One of my favorite features is the blind spot indicator, i always know if there is a car sneaking up next to me.

Mine has the PASM and Chrono as well; also, Espresso Leather. I go back and forth between the "Sport" and "Sport +" settings with the PASM. After drving quite a while in Sport +, I've switched back to Sport about a week ago and it feels like a different car...still quite powerful and quick, but the suspension and 19" tires now just devour minor disturbances in the road surface. Yes, I still am enjoying the P4S very much!

I don't have the Blind Spot Detector, but it would be a must-have were I to get another of these cars.

I think "add" more than upgrade if anything... Still no comparison to the nimble 911.

Okay, it's for a different thread but---- I was going to get PSE added and they were going to charge me $5K. Were you able to get it for a reasonable price?

Over here its $3,700, hardly reasonable but still better than 5k. I negotiated pretty hard and only got 15% off. have you tried negotiating?

Recall???
1- NICE!! lucky you!!

2- Recall regarding what exactly? How do I know if I have to take my car in?
As you already know both Dubai and AbuDhabi dealers lack communication skills =P

The MY 2014 S V6 turbo feels definetely faster than the C2, but the earlier V8 S is a dog IMO.
I wonder how the next 4cyl turbo 911 will compare with the 3.4 NA flat six.

I don't know the exact recall number but you're right, they don't call you. I happened to be getting pse installed so i asked about any warranty recalls and two popped up.

One was for an instrument cluster update (I can only assume for that service now message that constantly pops up) and the other was to replace some rubber on the door panels or something. Ill find out and confirm when i get the car back.

You know i floored it in sports+ mode as soon as i got out of the service center (hey, they gave it to me) and was actually shocked at how much of a demon it is!

I was even more shocked when i came home, popped the hood, and saw 3.0 V6s written on the engine cover.

porshanut is on a distinguished road
Chuck-I negotiated with the dealer here to match Suncoast's price. Got it done (PSE) for around $3600.
