991 TARGA 4S Review / Roof

Hello from germany, friends !

As always I'd like to share my latest 911 review with you. Driving the new Targa was very interesting, especially in comparision with the Cabriolet.

Any experiences with the Targa here in the forum ?
Share them with me, I'd love to hear them and get your feedback on the review !

Greetings, Guido aka TheGetawayer

I drove the targa 4s on the track recently. It was nice but it really unbalanced compared to a coupe. I might have been dreaming but it felt to me like extra weight in the back of the car was pulling the front up when accelerating hard coming out of turns.

Totally lovely car though to look at and drive, but maybe not for track days, relatively speaking. I am no expert, though.

Always enjoy your reviews. By the way, how tall are you? Perhaps you're more prone to buffeting effects than folks like me <6ft??

Great review as usual. There is a wind break which has to be deployed manually up by the sun visors. I wonder if it was used. Might have cut down on the turbulence.

Saw your review on YouTube and really enjoyed it. Can't wait 'til mine arrives. Could be any minute now... standing by for the call from my dealer!

Will have mine next month and can post then. I have driven one and found the wind issues sporadic and not an issue for me. I don't like driving any convertible at highway speeds but I could easily drive the Targa as I had it up to 80 mph and no issue to my ears. Particularly with top down and windows up.
