door panel

Anyone else experienced a lifting of the inside panel from the subframe? Presumably the panel should have been glued to the plastic component. No signs of any glue on mine. Door panel ETA is four weeks.BTW...I do live in Phoenix where internal temps can reach 150F. My Scottsdale dealer says none of his cars on the lot show problems.

Yikes heat or no heat, looks like some sort of defect. Is your car under warranty? If so, certainly looks like something covered under your warranty.

Yes it is under warranty...but I have to wear dark glasses and a hat driving it like this until the new panel comes in.

I'm with you!

Maybe use it as a newspaper holder?? : )

Have a friend ride with you leaning on the door panel?

Tint the windows?? You are in Phoenix!

Not sure if the dealer will let you temporarily fasten it with something? Probably not?? They might have to send it back as is for warranty coverage.

They considered 3 M tape as a temporary fix but they decided against it. The nice thing is that they decided to order and replace the driver's side also as a precautionary measure...all covered under warranty. Now, if they can also fix the shimmy in the steering wheel and floor vibration post my first replacement of Pirelli tires. We'll see what they can do next Thursday.

Perhaps you should be there when they lift the car off the ground and see if they are out of round. That used to be a big problem with all brands but Michelin.

You bet...I will be there every step, starting with a test drive with the service manager.
