Discount on 2014?
I got 11% off my 2014 c2 last month plus dealer paid shipping to CA. I noticed my dealer has a new 2014 c2s will all the goodies for $25k off. Someone needs to grab this one ASAP. Ask for the GM Dan Shearman, he will hook you up.

Also, great price on the remaining C2S. WOW!
If i were ready to move on a 991, that would be quite tempting at 25k off!

That would have been an amazing deal if it were brand new.
Now, i would only worry about how poor a break in job someone did.

Thats not true, the reason he probably said that is because California is Porsches most important market. Thusly California has HUGE inventory. Just as an example Beverly Hills Porsche had almost 20 (TWENTY) 911 TT S's. 20 $200K cars on the lot.
There is NO way they could sell all this to people who pay through the nose. Yea if they have a certain model that there isnt a whole lot of, then they may hold on to it for a better price. But California also has alot of knowledgeable owners and we know a good deal when we see one. And NORMALLY if we are repeat buyers we EXPECT a good deal, unless its a GT3. There is alot of OUT OF STATE buyers who dont have inventory in their state and they have to come to California to get what they want. Maybe some of those more frantic buyers pay through the nose. But a salesman like that who said that wont last long in this market. As a flip side to Beverly Hills Porsche, Porsche of Idaho had ONE turbo S ONE targa and that was IT! 2 911s for the whole state!
I bought my 09 911 S PDK I got for $78K new. $108MSRP
When I was looking at cars, the California dealers had the worst deals. Plus big attitudes, like they think people in CA will just pay through the nose. One even told me that in the SF area. Crazy.

The used 991 I was looking at in Northern California was 10K more than any comparable car in the country. The dealer said "People will pay that in his area. This isn't the Midwest"
I'm not sure what was going on in 2009, it's almost 2015. The LA California dealers have the worst reputations around.

Thank goodness for the Internet. It's opened up so many options and an endless information resource. After all, look at this forum!
The dealer in reference was referring to the Silicon Valley crowd and they obviously don't care much about prices. He was wrong, 3 months later the car I was looking at was still for sale! After a 15K slash on a used 991, it looks like it may have finally sold. That was less than my original offer!
Thanks STG. It's my first P-car and I really enjoy driving it. Ya, there is too much money in CA so double digit discounts are not very common here. Best I could find on a CA car (that I wanted) was 10% off a demo with 12k miles...no chance. The Kansas dealer was super nice and the transaction was easy. I had to wait about 10days for the car but it was worth it to me.
The dealership registered the car. My car came with a 60 day temp tag. Once it arrived I got a SMOG check and VIN verification done at the DMV. I sent the SMOG/VIN paperwork back to the dealer. They filed it and I received the CA plates in the mail. All of the transportation was setup by the dealer. The whole process was really easy.
Well, my friend ended up with about 10% off with the car and options he wanted. He got the car in Indiana on his ride home from the east coast. He said the dealer was very accommodating.
I just bought my TT from Rusnak in Pasadena and was happy with the deal at slightly over 10% on a 14 TT but the sales rep was terrible. After dealing with Park Place for a couple of years, who are possibly the best deal I have done business with Rusnak was just terrible. I am happy I shipped the car to Dallas and done with them.
I was wonder the same question about pricing. I just ordered a 2015 GT3 and now have the dilemma of what to do with my 2013 C4S (highly optioned). Only has 4,500 miles. Was $140,000 new...anyone know what kind of price I should ask the dealer for at trade-in?
