Thanks for sharing. I'm happy I didn't wait for this car. It looks like porsche just went to the parts bin for the car and built a c4s with center locks and a power kit. I guess on the upside the gts still comes in a stick. Overall a bit of a disappointment.

 

That looks like the rear decklid grill from the 50th with the chrome removed.

I love the look and have been waiting for this. Includes a lot of options I like.... but would dump the CL's

- wide 4S chassis
- X51 w/PSE & Sports Chrono
- PASM
- CL Wheels
- Sport Design front facia
- Sport Design mirrors
- matte exhaust tips
- PDLS 'smoked'
- Alacantara interior
- GTS engine cover

 

Not bad. I'm digging the wider stance on the RWD version, as well as the different grille design and addition between the taillights. Otherwise, not much that you can get on a non-GTS model.

There are some massive wheel spacers on this car.

I can't wait to get mine from FVD...been on order (the locks, that is) for almost two months now

 

Was the previous GTS unique compared to its Carrera counterpart?

I share the feeling although it is true that the GTS is exactly what could be expected and not unlike what had been done with the 997.
Still, the 997 GTS was a nice package and I am curious to see how the GTS will be priced vs a similarly equipped 991S. Also curious to check how it drives. I was able to take a Cayman GTS for a spin and it felt different than a Cayman S similarly equipped. Maybe it will be the case for the 991 GTS too. The GTS may not be compelling enough to trade in your 991, but I would consider it if I was on the market to buy a new one.

PS: I was expecting a new steering wheel (918/Macan style) with paddle shifters and a nice multi-function design

 

Ha! I think technically you could swap in the GTS letters on the back, and it would be legit.

 

According to Jalopnik: "A cool $114,200 gets you in the door with the coupe, which includes a smattering of standard equipment. You get standard PASM active dampers, Bi-Xenons with Porsche Dynamic Lighting, Sport exhaust, and alacantara all around. Twenty-inch gloss black center-lock wheels come along for the party, along with some chrome and black trim bits smattered around the widened all-wheel-drive body."... and the Power Kit! Value for money seems too good to be true... I'll believe it when I see the price on Porsche's website
