I think it's a safe assumption that if you can afford a 911 (particularly a newer 991), that you probably have extra money for discretionary "fun".
So, my question is do you have another toy or toys? It doesn't necessarily have to be a car, but it can be!
Here's one of mine, it's a 1994 Mazda RX-7 with 50K miles on the original body and engine. I have three of these (yes, I'm a little obsessed) and a few other cars, too, but I'm a big fan of the old twin-turbo rotary
I had the NA slower rotary, but loved that car...traded it for my first 993. Miss that car, after 165k, was spending more time under it...as a DD, no bueno. In the garage next to my all black 13 991 is a gorgeous all black Maserati Gran Tutismo Sport. My wife loves it, me.....well I may actually bleed Porsche. I'll post a pick later.
I keep it simple...got my daily (now a 2014 E350 4matic) and I got my two wheeled baby (2012 S1000RR). Looking to get the 2015 RR as soon as it comes in.
See my signature line.
As others have said before, the air-cooleds make you appreciate the new cars more, and vice versa. They can also be pretty decent investments, IMHO.
Currently I have 2004 996 TT with license plate "TOY"; 2013 991S Cab with plate "
TOY TOO" and 2015 Macan Turbo with plate "R TRUK". Wife has 2015 Audi S5 Coupe with plate "GIZZY" (name of our dog is Gizmo).
