Atlanta laser/radar installers?
Atlanta laser/radar installers?
I have an Escort 9500 on a mirror mount wired to the fuse panel right now.
Looking for recommendations for an installer for an integrated laser/radar system on my TTS in the Atlanta area. Heard very good things about Cartunes in Sandy Springs. Wondering if any 911 Brothers have used them or any others in the Atlanta area they would recommend?
Looking for quality of work over price, but reasonable pricing would be a bonus as well.
Thanks guys!

I would stay away from cartunes. They once damaged the interior of one of my cars and then denied it until I wrote a Yelp review about it. They run a closed shop - you can't go onto the floor to check up and give guidance while they are working on your car. They are also over-priced.
Read the reviews on Yelp - you will see people have had mixed experience at car tunes. To me this is symptomatic of a place where employees do work to their own standards and the owners aren't around to set the standard.
There is only one shop I trust - Benchmark Soundworks in Alpharetta. They installed the Bel STIR+ and Laser Interceptor HP in my 2014 M5, and the Bel STIR+ and Antilaser Priority in my Jaguar F-Type R Coupe. The work was pristine, and they took really good care of my car. I was also able to guide the installer closely to ensure everything done to my specs. Price is similar to cartunes, they do a lot of high-end cars, but compared with car tunes, the work is much better, and I trust them more.
I just buy the system from Best Radar Detectors and then take it to Benchmark.

Stealth.pilot, thank you for your input.
I read the reviews from Yelp on Benchmark and Cartunes. Found your review on Benchmark. Cartunes has a greater percentage of positive reviews on yelp than Benchmark. 2 of 5 reviews on Bench mark were negative, while 16 out of 20 on Cartunes were positive or satisfactory.couple reviewers did not like the CS received at Cartunes, but their installs were done correctly.
I was recommended to Cartunes locally by the Atlanta Ferrari Dealer and the local GIAC Dealer, Eurotech Performance a Group. The Ferrari Service Rep I talked to said Cartunes was the only shop they let touch their cars, outside of their own Techs.
I guess any installer can have issues. Bit of a gamble either way, I suppose. Decisions, decisions.

I wanted to say I have been by Cartunes for an estimate, and they recommended I get the Bel STiR plus system, with the AL Priority 5 diode system, 3 front and 2 rear, along with the display concealed in the rear view mirror. This for the same price for the Passport 9500 + Laser Shifterpro installed by my Porsche dealer. The Laser Shifterpro is just 2 front mounted diodes. No rears. Price is within $90, with the Cartunes package being the less expensive one.
Not sure what your point is here.
I'm not spamming - you asked for an opinion and I shared my opinion. You can do what you like - it is certainly true that other people have taken nice cars there.
But personally I think scale is the enemy of quality. The best shops for this type of work are neither tiny, nor massive. The guys you talk with on the sales side should be owners in the shop - if you are dealign with an employee then the issue is that it is in the interest of that person to cover up mistakes. An owner cares more about the reputation of the shop then going home early, or whatever.

I was not calling you a useless spammer. Look at my quote in post #8. Some spammer (worianxun) quoted one of your sentences and then posted a link for hotel chain. His post has since been removed by the Mods.
I appreciate your input very much.
