Sport wheel is about 1-2 inches smaller than the 918 wheel

Correct. I ordered a 16 and it's still the current wheel. Prob will see it on the refresh with the turbo engine update.

Maybe spring or late winter?

Yeah, me too, I thought the 918 wheel was smaller as well, just wondering roughly how much in diameter. If anyone with a Macan or somethingr and an old wheel can measure and chime in that would be appreciated, thanks.

I'm pretty sure it's smaller because I tried it on my brother's '16 Cayenne GTS. It feels actually alot smaller than the Sport Design on the 991 GTS.

i guess my Macan and 911 with the sport steering are wrong, maybe if I put the sport wheel in my Macan and its wheel in the 911 it will give me different measurements.

I am driving a loaner base Cayenne labeled as a 2016 that has the 918 steering wheel. I personally think the buttons feel cheaper and the multipurpose wheels feel cheaper than the old design.

Not sure about the way it feels, but the Macan MF looks hell of a lot better than the 911 MF. Sport Design still beats both IMO.

I just measured the Sport Design wheel on my '13 991 S and it's approx. 14 1/2' to 14 5/8' outside diameter. Outside diameter on my Macan Turbo (burl walnut) steering wheel is 14 3/8". They're pretty close to same size.

Very nice. Thanks so much. Now I don't feel so bad. I prefer the look of the sport design as well.

Thanks again.
