For me the car seems fine but for the the back view.
I, like GS997S, already have the black GTS grill. I really like it on my white car.
As to tail pipe spacing ...

I read the article and the below quote stuck out to me most...the 2017 S is 0.4 seconds faster to 60 (3.7 seconds) vs. the 991.1 S. I can't help but think that the difference in performance will drive pricing down of used 991.1 cars significantly -- am I wrong? I'm looking at a couple of 991.1's right now but may hold off until the 2017 comes out. Would appreciate your thoughts...

With a dual-clutch automatic, the Carrera S can accelerate to 60 mph in 3.7 seconds, eclipsing its predecessor by 0.4 seconds and edging the 430 hp, 2015 GTS by one-tenth of a second. Top speed climbs by a token 1 mph in both Carrera and Carrera S. And then there’s the real pay off: Consumption drops by between 6 and 13 percent in European testing. (U.S. fuel economy estimates are still not out.)

I don't think it will be that big of a deciding factor. As far as I can tell, most 911 Carrera drivers don't care about the 0-60 time of the car. If we did, we'd be looking at other brands and models.
