991.2 all wheel drive and snow...,

Ordering a 991.2 c4s and planning to use as a daily driver, including in MI winters. I'm good on snow tires and confident in car (previously had Audi RS4 and BMW 550 X drive with snow tires). Big question is all wheel steering and snow...I've heard with other aws cars in the past they proved unstable in snow. Anyone have any experience or thoughts?

I would check the Turbo forum and I think you'll find they have no problem. All the weight is in the rear.

No problem with using snow tires on a 4S - the car is unstoppable - I have had snow wheels and tires on my 997 and 996 models - all wide bodies

I purchased a snow wheel and tire set for my 2014 C4S last winter but never installed it as I never drove the car in the snow - if you are interested let me know, the set is brand new and sitting in my warehouse - will work out a good deal PM me if interested

Nokian Winter/Snow tires.
The car is Fantastic in the snow!
Deep parking lot snow, and Hauling Glass on the highway while it's snowing, sleeting and raining like a mother!
It's a Totally different experience in the Winter!
You Must do it!

Light snow is OK. Clearance is your concern.

Please do tell the sizes and type of your Nokian tires for your 911.

I had Nokians on a V10 Toureg many years ago, great tire for AWD vehicles.

Thanks

Snow is no problem in any 911 equipped with proper snow tires (I've driven a C2S and a TT through the winter, and the TT had rear wheel steering). You'll run out of clearance faster than you'll run out of grip or confidence in the car.

The OP specifically asked about winter driving with rear wheel steering. I've never heard of it being an issue, but it might prove quirky in low speed, low traction?
