need some help and info

Hello guys,

I'm posting this problem because on the Panamera forums its hard to get some answers, I took my car 14 Panamera to the dealership Porsche Plano.

my concern was I had some oil around the small shock in the engine and in some parts..

I took the car on Monday and explain the situation to the shop Foreman, Friday I texted the S.A regarding my car, the response was, nothing wrong with the car vehicle ready, I asked the S.A about the oil and he was not aware, I texted him pictures and he said the area Rep was coming on Tuesday to look at some cars if I wanted to pick up the car or leave it for him to inspect the car.

on Monday I asked for an appointment with the Area Rep and I was told that he doesn't make appointments this time around, strict management orders.

I called today and again I was told everything was fine, I did called PCNA but its just a waste of time they won't help at all.

I got a hold of the Service Manager btw not polite, he said the car was fine and I asked him, if having oil in the engine was normal as I'm driving a loaner same car and this one doesn't have any oil at all..

he's response was that Porsche allows oil from the gaskets and its normal.. just wanted to get some opinions from you guys

thanks for your time

That's a very, very small seep. Personally I would not someone going into my engine and pulling it apart to fix something that small. I would clean it all off and get it sparkly clean, then just see how it is in 6 months.

Welcome to PCNA's exceptional customer service. "There is no substitute".

As DRC said, clean it and keep an eye on it for the next few months (especially after long drives).
Did you document this issue on your work order?
If so, at least you have something to refer to if it eventually becomes a problem.

Hopefully you'll be under warranty when the thing fails and they can pay for their indifference.

I am counting down the days till my warranty expires, so I don't have to deal with this Godawful company's after-sales service division.

CSK 991 C4S is infamous around these parts
Not knowing your engines layout...... could this be from a little spillage when changing oil?

How many miles on your car?

Terrible customer Service, never had a problem with BMW or MB

They don't care, I asked the service manager to document his words " Normal to leak from gaskets, Porsche allows some oil "

Will see tomorrow

That is really poor customer service, no matter what the cost of the Vehicle purchased.

Really, what does it take for someone to say, Let us clean it up for you, and see what happens to it in a few weeks.

totally agree, what I do know .. no matter what your problem is, if you have hesitation, poor low mileage a flat tire, oil or even if you have a valid argument, Dealers and AREA REPS They tried so hard to avoid it if you don't have a CEL.. they will let your vehicle sitting at the lot for a week just so you can get tired of waiting and decide to pick up your car. like a sales guy from another Dealership making you wait hours for you to buy the car

got the car back, like See U n Rear View mentioned at least a good clean up, but other dealership it's the samething, same Area Rep, he is the one that decides if they check the car without a CEL, for some reason if you don't have a light they don't look at the car, I might have some indy do an inspection

This is what I hear all the time - no CEL light - there is nothing wrong, nothing to fix. This is because the only way the dealership is going to be compensated for its time by PCNA is if they can show them a CEL number. Dealerships are not going hunting looking for a problem if they are not being compensated for it. In this computerized world, electronics rule and I think that is because there are less skilled techs out there that really know how the engine works. The new techs are taught how to fix CELs, not how to troubleshoot. My 2 cents.

I would not give up with Porsche Customer Relations. I would write them a letter and document the oil seepage in photos and send them with the letter. The squeaky wheel gets the grease. Explain your experience thus far and name names/titles. Keep writing until you get high enough up the chain of failed leadership and someone pays attention. A letter to Excellence as well as other Porsche dedicated magazines never hurts either.

Regardless of the area rep., I would find another customer service oriented dealership to look at and care for the car. Got to be a few in TX.

I am not sure which foreman you are referring to at Porsche of Plano. I have not used them much but when I have they fixed any issues that were outstanding. I go right to John Gladwell who is the best in the area. If that bridge has been burned already then I cant see anyone going out of there way to help there. I had met him at the track with Charlie years ago and they are good guys and well respected.

You could always bring it to Park Place for a second opinion. I would ask for Juan or Steven to look at it. If you want a third party go to Charlie Lacie in Carrolton at innovative autosports for an independent opinion.
