Has anyone installed one of these? Shifter does feel a bit high but wanted to see if this is a DIY project as well as curious why its not factory authorized.

It's the GT4 shifter - yummy.

 

I want it. Got a couple of things ahead of it but it's on the list.

 

Just installed it and it rocks. Easy to put in. Planet-9 has a good DIY thread in the 981 mod section.

 

I see you mention the 981, did you install in a 991?

I just did this installation on my 991 over the weekend.

I followed the 981 instructions and they were pretty much spot-on for the 991. In step 9 I would note that there are two small tabs at the front of the bracket that need to be disengaged in addition to the 6 torx screws.

It's actually a GT4 part, you can order the GT4 part # for about $100 less than suncoast.
