Please help me with my 991.2 Carerra 4 build.. Am I missing any must haves?

Hello and thank you for taking a moment to help a fellow member in need of some feedback. I'm currently in the process of switching up my daily driver. It's currently a 2011 Cayenne Turbo in which I strongly dislike the 8 speed auto slow as molasses transmission and because I don't have any use for its size I've decided a C4 will fit my needs. As a daily driver I don't feel the S model adds any value as I want to order the car in yellow and I don't want red brakes. Also, the extra HP isn't necessary either. My garage contains a gated 6 spd Gallardo Spyder, a current style M6, and a Maserati GranTurismo S. I live in the northeast and this 911 is going to see 10k a year in miles and northeast winters. I plan to order the 20' wheels but get a set of base 19's and add snows. With that out of the way here is the build I'm prepared to order when my dealer has an allocation for one next month.

Racing Yellow
Standard Interior with Leather Sport Seats Plus (4-way) in Black
SportDesign Exterior Mirrors
Porsche Doppelkupplung (PDK)
Power Steering Plus
Sport Chrono Package
Sport Exhaust System
20" Carrera S Wheels
Lane Change Assist
Heated Multifunction Steering Wheel
Sport Seats Plus (4-way)
Seat Heating
Smoking Package
Luggage Net in Passenger Footwell
Seat Belts in Racing Yellow
Porsche Crest on Headrests

The build comes out to $112,025 MSRP. I don't want to go crazy with options because I don't want to feel bad or guilty about using the car all year round. Any options I'm missing that are going to hurt the value or this car or any that should be removed? Thanks in advance for all your opinions.

PS: We also have a Subaru WRX for heavy snow days and if the Porsche leaves the driveway on those days its less than a mile down the road. (My wife is a pre school teacher right down the street from out house)

I've never been to NH, but here in Texas the ventilated seats are a must have. If you use A/C in the car ever, than you will appreciate the ventilated seats. One other point; do a search on Power Steering Plus, a lot of owners hate it or at least dislike it and have it removed from the software. I don't have it so can't respond from experience.

I'm with Jim. Hate Power Steering Plus. Had it on my previous 991. Don't have it on my current one. (Thank god) I like the steering feel MUCH more without it. It's super unnessasary and I think hurts the feeling of driving a Porsche.

My only regret was not getting gauges in white or red. The black gauges are difficult to see during the day and worse if your driving toward the sun. Yellow gauges in your case? I'd leave the Chrono gauge black probably.

I would cut the Porsche crests on the seats and the yellow belts. Other than that - good to go. Best wishes.

Nix the lane change assist...I found it annoying in a loaner Panny. You check your blind spot anyway ...
I prefer 14 way seat as manual sliders are so passé. Also keyless/.p. Entry & drive was a must for me.

Not Sure about 2016, but in 2015, the dash default configuration was all black dials EXCEPT tachometer was grey. I had to select black tach dial ( zero cost option,). Just beware of this.

You are skipping auto dimming mirrors on a $100K+ car? Seriously...

You are really cheaping out not getting the 18-way seats, unless the 911 was a real hardcore version like a GT3 or something, I would feel like a moron paying over a hundred grand and telling my passenger where to reach for a manual seat lever.

I would also look at getting the Connect feature for the infotainment as I think it allows better integration and control of your phone.

As for those telling him to get rear wheel steering, it is not available on the base Carrera, which is what he is ordering.

You could also save some money by just ordering one set of seats...

the slider seats are lighter so not the worst thing.

I personally love driving the 911 because I have Burmester and it is so much better than the other radios and when I'm not on the gas w/ pse... I'm enjoying the music.

Well, this is objective but I like the 14-way sport seats better than the 4-way sport plus seats. For daily driving I find I can get them where I need them. Also, as a daily driver I would definitely consider adding Entry and Drive.

For me, I think all 911s should come with full leather so that would be on my must have list. If you're commute doesn't include a lot of traffic I'd even drop the PDK for full leather if you're trying to hit a price point.

If you're ok with the cost add I'd look at Burmester for my DD. Again, depending on your traffic situation I'd even consider dropping PDK for better sound but again this is objective depending on whether or not you like your music during the commute.

Yeah, a base 991.2 Carrera 4 is a good call.
Consider the following:
white gauges- look beautiful
sunroof in glass! I love mine.
Carbon or aluminum trim since you will be in the car quite a bit.
Make sure you get the paddle shifters.
Take advantage of the new infotainment system, if there are any options there.
Happy driving!
