porsche door panels warping
Anyone have the 991 door panels warping due to heat?
One day I looked over and WOW ... my passenger side door panel was warped.
The car is still under warrantee and the dealership was very nice about ordering the replacement.. but 3 month back order?
I hope the new part has been redesigned to prevent this from happening again.

This photo was my drivers side before it completely pulled apart.
Something about the glue failing and the panel starts to separate from the door.
The dealership already replaced my driver side under warrantee.

There was a similar thread started by White911s couple days ago: https://www.6speedonline.com/forums/...need-help.html
I had the same problem, I actually didn't notice it, brought my car in for another issue and the tech pointed it out. Both door panels were replaced under warranty.
Three months sounds ridiculous, my car was in the shop for a little over a week. I just got this done early August. I also have the same interior color as yours.

Mine is a 2012.5 991 S, four years old now, and I fortunately do not have this problem.
However, a few weeks back I saw another post on Rennlist of a guy looking at a used 991 - built out exactly as mine, same color, everything - and the doors were obviously warped in the photos. Real wavy on the top. I wonder if mine will do that eventually, too?

I suppose while glue and plastic clips may have their upside with cost savings, the down side is on full display in this thread.
My 993 interior never warped, creaked or split, even after a decade of blissful ownership.
I'm not sure how this generation of 911's interior trim will hold up a decade from now, but the folks at PAG should look to their Audi counterparts for some pointers on high-end trim.

Odd that 991s as recent as 2014 model year have this warping issue but that not all 991s have this problem. Hope it is only a few that have it.

Brought my car to the dealership today to change out the driver side door panel. It only took a week to order the part. Now I'm going to keep an eye out for the passenger side.

Your dealer is BS'ing you. Was 1st thing that was replaced on my car when I got in last year in 2015 under CPO warranty. Noted the warping at delivery when those pics were taken. Dealer says its a known issue on some 991's and due to the manufacturer using a different glue/product on some off the production line. Porsche is aware of it as its common especially in early cars. Definitely covered under CPO. Did both my doors to make sure! I'd tell them to check again and read the tech bulletin from PCA-NA.
