2017 Porsche 911 GTS

I am looking to order a 911 carrera s (991.2) soon and was wondering if anyone knows when the GTS will be released and what options it will or will not include. The GTS, if I remember correctly, includes a lot of good option and often times a slight performance boost for less money than a loaded carrera s or 4s.

Thanks!

Not sure, but yes GTS often offers more for less.

I read somewhere that August 2017 would be the GTS release date

The GTS will be MY2018, so we are indeed about a year out. Keep in mind that the GTS is more than a simple option package that gives you stuff "cheaper" than if you were to spec a Carrera S up to that level. There is a bump in power and things like performance exhaust and sport PASM will be standard. It is really a different kind of car, something to bridge the gap in terms of responsiveness and price between the Carrera S and the GT3. I daily my 911 and I'm not entirely sure I would want to make the switch to a GTS because I feel it might trade too much comfort for driver involvement. If my 911 were a weekend car, I probably would have gotten one.
I have not seen any solid rumors on engine specs but I suspect that the 3.0 turbo will be used but if they somehow decide to resurrect the naturally aspirated 3.8, these cars will be in very high demand.

Agree if you really want a GTS then you may want to wait about 12 months for its release. Won't see it as an initial model year car given the 991.2 change over I am told.
