Ordering '04TT, options input

I am thinking of ordering a new '04TT. Here are the options I am thinking of getting. Please comment if you recommend or do not recommend what I have suggested.

Seal Gray with Graphite gray interior

E70 Leather interior package. - nice looks
P16 PCMII - really like GPS/nav
XMA Leather P/B Pillar Roof - I am not real fond of the velour.
X71 Aluminim instrument dials - looks nice, high contrast
XX2 Footwell lighting - I know this is small but it is like a dark cavern getting into it at night.
XPA Interior colored three spoke leather wheel - looks nice
342 heated seats - I plan to put in my graphite GT-3 seats and can transfer or add heaters easily, correct? In Chicago, the seat heaters are nice.
M6P graphite gray floor mats - nice looks

Thanks

I would buy an 03 turbo and save 20,000 or 30,000 grand... You can get a nice 2003 for about 110-115...dont take a huge depresiation hit by buying an 04. Same car.. Just my frugal opinion

Thanks Boston but cash isn't a big concern, I want that specific car. You are definitely right from a value standpoint though.

Chordate is an unknown quantity at this point
I would get everything that you are planing on getting, but I would get the stainless steel 4 pipe exhaust too. The footwell lighting is good option not just because of what it does, but because it adds a button on the center console, making the car look more complete. FYI, on '04 Turbos, PCMII is standard equipmemnt. Congrats on your purchase, you will be 1 out of about 184 '04 Turbo coupe owners.

Thanks Mehrabani1

I plan on replacing the exhaust when I go to Stage 4GT next winter so I thought I would get the tips that looked best (or fit) then. Yes, PCMII is standard on '04. Thanks.

I like black or natural grey deviating carpet and stitching with the g/g interior, otherwise there is just too much grey.

Get the steering column covered in leather - it's a cheap option.

Porsche crest in headrest (but your changing the seats)

Hey Boston,

I see your sig says you are looking for an '01 or '02 TT in the Spring. I am in same boat, but tempted now by some good deals on low mileage 2002's. What are hoping to snag one for in the spring? (I am afraid prices may stabalize with the lack of a TT for a while with the pending 997 and low '04 production).

My brother has a dealers license and at auction 01's are averaging 79-80k with 10k or less miles...not a bad deal. I think 85 whole sale is reasonable..actaully this winter, I bet the prices are going to drop a bit ..I planning to buy one with in the next 3 months

MANA is infamous around these parts
Have you already got an allocation for a coupe build??

I have talked with at least 15 dealerships and have been told that the Coupe TT production has been halted and the factory has retooled for cabs only. I am being told that unless I aleady have a TT coupe on the way, the chances of getting one are going to be very slim. Some say impossible. Who knows. I hope you get one.

I am going with a Cab.

Out of those options the only 2 I would recommend are aluminum dials and heated seats, I have had Nav before and still have it in another car and its a waste and never is used.

For the price the Footwell lighting is not worth it.

Fly, I agree with you on that, the dome lights are more than adequate for entry imo.

I would get the aluminum/carbon shifter and brake handle and either aluminum or carbon door sills. Get an Alpine aftermarket CVA with DVD navigation much better than the Porsche factory option.

Porsche crests for the wheels are also nice.
