Hate to say it, but I have to agree with Combatninja. Also, be aware that the Warranty expiration date is from the date the RDR card was "punched". Did the "bill of Sale" show New or Used?

Reporting the car sold and titling it can be the difference between 10s of thousands in incentive money or the difference in allocations for tough cars like GT3s, etc. There is much more flexibility on a CPO car than on a new car. For CPO, the dealership only answers to the GM/dealer principal. On new car sales, the dealership answers to Porsche USA. They get caught selling 911s near or below invoice and it results in an *** chewing from the regional rep.
Problem with many posts here and everywhere. Basically someone asked what time it was and the response was how to make a watch. The original question dealt with leftover prices or discounts on 2017. In essence what is a good deal out there. Whether you get a brand new car from the dealer at a huge discount or a CPO with very low miles (essentially "new" unless you are one the purists roaming these forums), it really is about the basic price paid. It is not about who the deal is going to get chew out by if they punch or not punch a car, sell it at a specific price, etc, etc. It is about what someone got a car that they wanted for. All the rest is purely an exhibition of how much they want to show off on their intricate knowledge of "how things work behind the scenes". The usefulness on pricing discussions is what really actually happens not theoretical "should be able to get this and that off a sticker". Basically if don't mind getting a "used" 2017 with very low miles and the first year full depreciation already paid by someone else and fully covered for the next 6 years and would rather but a non-registered car, be my guest. Everyone has a different version of value.

combatninja has a little shameless behaviour in the past
Based in Gaucho’s post,I have clearly been remiss. Nevermind how it all works, all we need is a number. So I think $5 is a good deal for a leftover 911. Don’t pay more than $5.

Can't believe that I keep agreeing with someone, but ever hear the phrase; "You don't always get what you pay for, but you alwars pay for what you get" Lots of variables in a Car purchase.

If the car's warranty was punched in January, then it is not really a 'new' car in the strictest sense. Was the car titled?

Nope never titeled. Bought the car with 20 miles on it and titeled it at my DMV as a new car.I think the dealers punch the warranty so they can offer bigger discounts?

Normally a dealer "punches" the RDR card for either a factory incentive payment or the ability to get more vehicles from the factory. The problem is that the warranty starts running from the date it was punched.

Yes. Thats why they were able to offer such a gig discount. In all honesty a couple of months out from such date not a big deal on a brand new car.
