991 - need advice on deal

Hello Friends ..

I am about to buy my st Porsche. It’s a 2013 Carrera Cab with 22k miles on. It’s CPO and the dealer is asking for $63k . It installed withSports Chrono, Premium package plus, PASM, Leather package and few more goodies. MSRP : 117K

would appreciate if you can advice me if the deal is worth considering ?? How much more depreciation can I expect assuming I put around 7k miles each year. As my 1st Porsche, CPO will give me the peace of mind. Single owner, he definitely took care of the car. Overall, I like the car.

I wanted to get the 997, however never got a chance to drive or found a great deal to pursue. What do you guys suggest — should I keep looking.

‘’finally, should I wait for the winter to get a CAB in terms of better pricing ??

am sure a lot of these questions are covered in other threads — however, I would really appreciate for your thoughts and suggestions..

‘cheers

Sounds like a deal to me.
The choice- a Cab makes a great "regular" Porsche as it add this something extra to the experience. Know this NA sound everyone are hype around ? you are going to hear it well.
The Specific car- CPO, great and expensive options, one owner. sounds good
Price- i guess it's market price? if you feel that's the right one go for it, no need to wait, this "winter/cheap cab" thing is half an urban legend anyway.

Enjoy, drive in the path of great and post pics

For a base 2013 it's on the high side, but the CPO may justify their asking price.
As for depreciation, don't buy a car if you concerned about its value in years to come.
One could get rear-ended driving off the lot, so it's simply not worth considering all the possibilities.

Price has a lot to do with where the car is. I personally would be looking for the right car and not the "right" price. find the right car for you....good luck!

- agree with others, seems higher for base model, however they are probably charging you more because its a cab. Options are nice. (IMO secondary markets care less for cab on 911, but maybe I'm bias here)

- depreciation is flattening out at its age and miles, however cab see more depreciation than non cab models (again based on my research).

- For 997's I would focus only on 997.2, those prices can be close to 991.1. I recently was in the same boat and chose 991.1 because I felt the value was better.

-winter: while you may get lower prices on cab's during winter, there is typically less inventory. Also, in my experience 911 owners typically are not pressed to sell, thus prices paid are often +/- FMV year round.

I swear, dealers do their job properly less than half the time! I'm glad you got it sorted.
