Question 991.2 Passenger window switch

2017 991.2 C2S. My young son has popped the passenger side window switch, put him on timeout before he try to break the driver side window switch....ordered a new one from internet, however after replacing the new window switch, the passenger side window does not respond to my input at all.
So what's working at the moment:
- central locking
- passenger side speaker
- passenger side window can be controlled via main driver side switch

What's not working
- passenger side window switch
- passenger side entrance light

plugged in iCarsoft porsche scanner, showing the following code:
- 00084B (door warning entrance light faulty)
- 89020E (front lid light faulty) i assume that's the front trunk light which still works
- C12014 (no communication with door control unit)

I wonder if i should disconnect the battery before removing the window switch, however none of the youtube video suggests that. Or if i fried the passenger side control module by accident. Very puzzled.

First.....you should always disconnect the battery, better save than sorry there. Is the part you purchased a genuine Porsche part that you just swapped? If it is, I would swing over to your local dealer because toy may have a larger issue.

Best of Luck!
