Looks like the Ctek mxs 5.0 is a good value to keep the car charged. How about the tire saver ramps. Car will be stored for about 6 months, do I need to use the ramps to prevent a flat spot on the tires. Anyone have suggestions on which tire ramps are the best.

do you mean tire cradles?

if you have a concern of flat spotting, you can just buy a sheet of rigid foam insulation and cut out some squares to go under the tires. or you can use thick carpet squares.

foam insulation works best because the first time you use it they will press perfect semicircles into the foam

i have the pre-formed rubber tire mats as mine can sit for weeks during the winter. some have said that these are unnecessary and you just need to bump the tire pressure up about 10 psi.

winter storage
Thanks for the suggestion. My mechanic also told me he thought the tire cradles were unnecessary. The rigid foam insulation plus overinflating the tires looks like the best option.

Tire Ramps Not needed
Hi…. The Porsche manual also provided the tire pressure for winter storage. I store my 911 for 5-6 months and never had a flat spot issue.
