Just found this pic on my computer, pretty damn sweet engine, thought you guys would enjoy! The motor was actually built back in 2000 for a 993 C4S!!

This is a beautiful N/A based engine with single butterflies, twin spark and a few other things such as external wastegates on K26 race turbos or Garretts and obviously no MAF. It also seems to run on an external boost controller judging by the hoses coming out of the wastegates. The only thing missing is a Secan Intercooler, this intercooler will never let the car see the claimed 1000hp, and if it does, it will be for a second on a chassis dyno, I know, I have the same core but only larger.
I agree the exhaust looks very nice, as far as performance you can have the same in many other ways such as a single Carrera muffler in the rear, there are several suppliers of similar mufflers. The piping OD seems a bit small IMHO looks like a 2 inch and if so would be a bit restrictive (keeping in mind the 1000HP or so claim that I saw somewhere else) It will no doubt be a monster street engine however.
Evan, it would be nice to post some more info, some dyno sheets or performance numbers would be beautiful. Thanks for posting, and you know this is only tech talk, not criticism at all.
Cheers

Jean, good to see you posting.
This motor was built by FVD DE not MODE....
As I said before Jean, I really have no information on the motor at all, I tried to call Germany today but they are all on vacation (geez those guys are lucky, nice 1 month vacation).

I don't think you are far from your assumptions, I highly doubt that this intercooler was fabricated in Europe, they don't usually use those cores, my bet is that this engine has been tweaked in the US after being built in Europe or some work was outsourced to a US builder.
It does seem like a very high output engine though, with street aspirations, I wonder how it idles with those intakes.
Evan, impossible to get in touch with anyone from the continent until the 7th most likely. If you get a chance to post specs later please do. Thanks
Khalid, thanks, will be seeing you very soon hiopefully.

Hi Jean.
Your spot on on the intercooler. Those are built by Bob Holcombe at MODE (you'll see the name MODE cnc'd on the tank). I currently use the same one but with a 4.5 inch core vs. the 3.5 inch core on the one in the picture.
As for the individual runners, they are AMAZING for idling. they're great for upper end hp. as well. Not so good for torque. You would have to be extremely careful with turbo selection if some one was going to use them on a street motor. I had them on one of my cars with IHI turbo's retrimed for hp. It was incredible on the track but a DOG on the street.
I like you would like to find out more on this motor.
HAPPY NEW YEAR TO ALL!!!!
