Pastel Yellow C2S

What do you guys think of this color? I found a 1997 C2S with 28000 miles on it. The car is a 10. I think I like the color. I would never order a new Porsche in this color, but i like it on this car because it reminds me of a classic Porshce color. Being that this car is a classic, I think it fits. What do you guys think?

Is fly yellow a Ferrari color only or is it Porsche color as well? If so how similar is it to the speed yellow?

Yellow is a good color on 993s

Fly is a lot lighter than Speed, and pastel is just like the name implies, very pastel (lots of white mixed in, an almost milky yellow color). I personally like all of them, with speed being my favorite. But, there are so many speed yellow Porsches around, especially 996s, that it's nice to see a pastel around here and there. BTW, Porsche never offered Ferrari fly yellow (Giallo fly) as a standard or optional color, it's always been special order / paint-to-sample.

right on

a friend of mine had a yellow 355 spider, I think it must have been fly yellow based on the 'lightness' of the color compared to the traditional, or common, Porsche yellow

Never meant to hijack this thread though, I'm waiting to see pics of the pastel it sounds interesting.

I love the color. With the OEM wheels powdercoated slightly and a minor drop, it would be VERY NIIIICE!

FLY yellow is a ferrari color and you can custom order a pcar with it from the factory. It is called a paint to sample option. FLY stands for Ferrari Light Yellow and as the name implies it is a bit lighter than speed yellow. Speed yellow has more orange in it and FLY yellow has a bit more green in it. However, most can not tell the two apart until they are right next to one another...

This is a common misconception. The name of the color is giallo fly. FLY does not stand for Ferrari Light Yellow. If it did, it would translate to Ferrari chiaro giallo in Italian.

There is a "studio fly" in Italy that supposedly created the color, and was run by a former Ferrari engineer by the name of Giacomo Caliri.
