Hello Everyone - Looking to join the 993 Community!

Hi guys, my name is Brian & I have the itch. I currently own a '06 Lotus Elise but am also looking to purchase a '97/98 993 C2S sometime this coming Fall. Before I purchased the Elise I was looking into buying a 933 for a short time but the Elise got the better half of me and now I can't seem to forget about owning a 993.
I have been monitoring Truspeed Motor Cars inventory and am looking at this 1997 Porsche Carrera S Coupe. It has 28,200 miles and they are asking $58,000 for it. Is this a reasonable price? Thank you for your input guys!

Here are some pictures of my Lotus

C2S is indeed a great car. Good luck! Seems a bit on the expensive side.

NICE Elise! Love the color!

Well one thing I can tell you the 993 is FAR easier to get in & out of, & you can do a Costco run with it!

That price is on the high side, but it does have 28kmi, so IMHO, it's around what you are going to pay for a "pristine" one.

However, if you REALLY want a good one with records & are willing to pay, check rennlist & the PCA. Nice cars come up all the time.

Stealth I have a picture of your car posted on my wall for motivation!
Your car looks amazing! Thanks for the input. Will definitely be keeping an eye on rennlist.

I have an '04 GTI as a DD and enjoy the elise for the weekend runs with the neighbors. Loving every mile in the Lotus!

You made me blush..

Anyway, Thanks, I'm very proud of her, & also enjoy every second with her!

I almost picked up a 03 R32 for a DD, but then the other 993 came up & I could not resist!

I'm a "bigger" guy & the Lotus was difficult to get in & out of easily. My main problem with it, was the lack of most normal things. The GF loved the car, but said, she could NEVER drive it with a skirt, with out showing off all the goodies getting in & out. But man, once you hit a corner, it's just a awesome car! While the 993 is a awesome handling car, it's totally different from the Lotus!

58K is more in line for mileage like that on a 98 S, a bit high for a 97. More likely closer to 50k (one side or the other) GL with the hunt and definitely get over to Rennlist.

993 C2S or C4S are good buy's for the right price and if that car is cherry, than is a good buy. The car will look great with a set of 3 pc. wheels and lowered.

Truspeed has a good rep and known for having high quality cars, and the prices to go with them. you can probably find a better deal elsewhere, if you are willing to look.

I want to purchase from Truspeed. I have heard nothing but good things about them and want to support their dealership.
