993 Price Check

I am in market to buy a 97 or 98 C2S. What are current prices going for one? I am looking at a 97 with 30k miles. What service questions should I look for? Tnx

$32-$45k. Depending on mileage and condition. A 30k mile car should be in the $38-$40k range.

I think it also depends on where the car is located too? A CA car is worth more.

$38K-$40K for a 30K mile C2S? You'd better let those sellers know that because I haven't seen any advertised anywhere near that low.

You might see them advertised for higher prices. That's a realistic # on what they are really moving for in this economy.

I want to buy one in Mid west and the person asking $60k for a low mile 98 C2S and he is not coming down a penny. With the state of economy like this, sellers should be more flexible on the selling price when someone comes to them with cash and offer to buy the car.

I realistically have been looking for that exact car and I haven't found anything near $38K-$40K for a 30K mile car.

Regarding Price, I think 993 Fan is correct. An S with that low of mileage in So. Cal would be a steal in the low 40's and a crime in the 30's (assuming PPI is clean).

The major thing I would look at/expect to fix is Valve Guides. Being in OC, there are some very, very capable independent shops for PPI etc.

Good luck. I wish I never sold my 97 S. BTW, bought it in 2000, sold it in 2004 for $3K less than what I paid. They are still bringing strong money today.
