GT-640 Milltek or Europipe

I'm thinking about the EVOMS GT640. They package it with the Milltek exhaust. I've noticed from reading the forums that most people prefer the Europipe exhaust. Would the reccomendation here be to go with the Milltek since the tuning is matched to it?

Europipe all the way (if you can get your hands on one). Performance, sound and quality.

hey epic, the forum definitely has a favorable bias towards the europipe. Im trying to decide between the EP 2 loud and the cargraphic loud and havent been able to pick one. I think EP quality is obviously very hight but they have also managed to create an exhaust that doesn't drone, which is a pretty high priority for most people. As far as i can tell the cargraphic does drone, so ill prob end up with the EP2 loud. Sry im stating this not actually having one, but searching thru all the past posts can take forever and this is basically what you will find out.

Thanks for the reply. If I wasn't doing the GT 640 Tuning package I would get the Europipe for sure. I'm just considering the Milltek because they say it's matched to the tuning package. Does the exhaust really make a difference to the tuning package?

nah i cant imagine its tuned specific to the exhaust. Exhausts typically differ in sound and tone. From what ive read on this board EP actually sell for full price or close to it used, which is something that doesnt really happen in the car wold so i think that says alot. Outside of this forum i know a couple experienced guys who RAVE about the cargraphic systems. At the cargraphic site the clip of the loud system sounds insane, so evil.

Some tuners can adjust for back pressure of the exhaust...who is the tuner for the 640 package? If they use GIAC, then you will not be getting tune specific to the exact exhaust, just a freer flowing exhaust of which there are several...Miltek and EP to name 2. I would choose based on sound as this will be the most important driver experience...the hp delta won't be noticeable.

Having heard and installed a Europipe on a 997TT, one of the bet sounds i've heard, not to mention fit. Absoutely perfect fit. no modifying or tweaking of some aftermarket pieces, and LOTS of tip adjustability. very deep sound.

I have not installed a cargraphic, and have only heard a cargraphic loud. Totally different sound, if you want free flow with a nice mellow sound, the europipe was great. If you want something louder and more noticeable, the cargraphic would fill that bill more so.

I would listen to them all.

Alot of people feel the Milltek is a very good exhuast,
I personally have never heard one, but most importantly
ride in the ones you are considering.

Good luck,

MK

I will promise you this, the Fabspeed I purchased from IA was the best exhaust I have ever heard! I dont think you can go wrong with the one I purchased.. need to contact IA about the details... good luck in your search.

That's exactly right. We all have our opinions on how exhausts sound to us but it's critical you ride in one before buying so that you get roughly what you want. I can tell you that both are really good. The milltek is not pretty to look at but it sounds fantastic and I was blown away with the way my 3.8L GT800 was able to make the power it did with a _full_ exhaust and _full_ cats. Most 800hp cars do not have cats... and basically straight pipes. I don't feel too hamstrung so I know the exhaust flows well, sounds good and has almost no drone. The Europipe is the most beautifully crafted exhaust out there. There's no contest. It has perhaps the best sound and the only thing against it is that it's very expensive. But sometimes you have to pay to get the best.

Just put on the Milltek about three weeks ago. Love it, no cabin resonance or droning, but when you get on it has a great sound. Only running stage II right now but if I move up in HP, I will not need to change the exhaust. Also great fit and well made.

I have the Milltek on my car and really like it. The only thing is it appears to be getting louder the more miles I put on it.
