Feedback on 996TT purchase

I am going to purchase my first 996TT and need some feedback on the buy.

Basic stats:

2nd owner car
2001 996TT
Seal Gray
DK blue interior
44K miles
Chipped - unknown origin
Exhaust - europipe (400 cels)
K24s and stock K24 headers (claims - see pics)
Lightweight flywheel
Porsche motorsport clutch
Modded air box w/ high flow filter
H&R springs
Lidatek/V1 hardwired
Upgraded rear wing

$58K

I need someone who has a better eye than myself to assist me in detemining if the turbos are actually K24s. I had the owner snap a few pictures, below, to help identify them. Can anyone tell from the pics if in fact they are 24s? If not what can I look for that whould help me in determining them since I am proposing to buy the car sight unseen.

Constructive feedback is welcome.......

You should get some third party verification of the condition of the vehicle if you're not going to go see & test it.
Why not have the car PPI'd, and during the process they can verify the turbos.

Agreed, I will pursue the PPI route.

I spoke to the guys mechanic who indicated the turbo swap, the clutch work, and other maintenance. However, the mechanic may support the sellers interest and without prior visibilty I have no way to confirm.

Just looking for feedback thanks.......

Isn't there some kind of part number or something stamped on them?

I believe there are identifying #'s on the compressor housing but, I don't have pics of them. I was hoping that the header collector diameter would give the turbos away.

Aren't the 24 and 16 manifolds different diameters?

They, the manifolds, appear to be stock judging by the collector and the machine welds but, I am not as familiar with Porsche's I intent to be.

Get a PPI. If all goes well, I think that the price is right on, IMHO.

I won't take it for that price cuz friend of mine sold his 2001 Turbo with 24K miles, Fabspeed exhaust, ECU by Upsolute, Forged DV, New leather seat, New interior trim, CF sterring wheel, Lowered...ect for $57K two month ago and his car was on market over a month. You can buy a used K24 for around $1500.

miles are kind of high. that price should go down 4k. mods are nice but don'treally add that much value. the turbos have a part # plate that's on the turbo that would tell you wat they are. i paid 52k for my 02 with 46k on it but it was stock

If you really love the car and it checks out OK, then you should try to negotiate it down a little bit, but if it doesn't work don't loose the car you found after all that time invested over $2000. I have looked at probably 10 of them before I bought mine and I tell you the moment I sat in mine I felt the connection which I was not able get on the other ones I test drove.
