UMW 2ZC is a beast!!!
UMW 2ZC is a beast!!!
I'm amazed with the UMW 2ZC setup. Because this is UMW's more entryish kinda setup I keep thinking of moving to the 3B or 4... but this 2ZC keeps impressing!
I did a "lapping-driving-school" thing yesterday (in the rain) and really enjoyed how the car produced such linear boost from 1K-2K rpm range. I could accelerate out of a corner with smooth application of the gas pedal and build predictable boost. It was so drivable. I took it easy the first several laps because rain scares the **** out of me, but learned the car was exceptionally predictable and drivable even with 540 some AWHP on pump.
After the event a friend friend in a well tuned whipple powered cobra putting down 609 RWHP got beside me on a "private road" and we did some pulls. The 2ZC setup walked away from him effortlessly everytime (I have a lot of respect for this cobra, it's got a lot of money and time into it). I was expecting to lose, or at best keep up... but the car pulled immediately everytime, and put a good car on him every gear.
If you looking for a totally new experience try the 2ZC.

thats awesome!
i was dead even with a 620rwhp whipple from about 45 to over 130 on numerous pulls. i was on the race file 1.3 bar 100 octane.
sounds like your setup is making some great power on pump gas. awesome...

It wasn't "bad" by any stretch, similar in pricing to a GT640 from EVO. I would call Kevin at UMW to discuss that stuff.
Thank-you! I definitely try to use it wisely. I'm thinking of moving back down to 18's so I can get better rubber (but love the look of my 19's).
