Griot's Garage

Does anyone here use Griot's products like speed shine and speed wax? Looks like they have a huge selection of products. They have all sorts of buffers, paint sealants, etc.

I have always used Pinnacle products but they are expensive and more time consuming to use.

Any insight would have helpful. Thanks.

I was always afraid to use a buffer on my car, but a friend showed me how to use the one that Griot's sells and we used their polishes. Extremely easy to use and the finish came our like glass. Good products overall.

I bought the polisher and wax kit for $199 but have yet to use it due to laziness.. It should pay for itself after 1 waxing.

I had used their products for years, especially the speed shine, best of show was, and polish. I also have the porter cable buffer. I love the buffer, find the other products good, not great......for the price. I find Meguiers Extreme speed shine amazing, and at $8 from Pep Boys, its convenient to get! I have tried so many, and its my favorite thus far. I would contact Philip at Detailer's Domain (Board Sponser) prior to ordering from Griot's. He is a great guy, and can custom taylor products for your needs.

I like their orbital buffing polish #1,2 & 3, but do not care for their wax, speed shine, etc. The window/glass cleaner works very well, too.

Griot's is decent quality, but I feel Pinnacle makes better products by far.

I think that Griots just repackages and markets bulk products which are widely available elsewhere. Their marketing spin is such that you'd think there is something special... their text really drives me nuts. It seems to pander to that snotty aspect of high end car ownership that rubs me the wrong way.... oh well.

I mean why buy a PC polisher from them for 189 when the same box is 109 at home depot?
