DGI Industries Exhaust is ON...Report

OK, the exhaust is on, after FOUR HOURS, and I'm no slouch with a wrench... So I'm gonna ***** first... The BANDS that you use from the old exhaust are a MOTHER F'er to make stretch to go around the cans on the mufflers... They scratch the finish and make a MIRROR POLISHED WORK OF ART look scratched (or atleast mine did) after you get them on, which was MY problem and might not be YOURs... That said, John take note, for the price point you're hitting, I'd pay an extra $200 for all new hardware...

OK chowder heads listen up. This System ROCKS.

No droning.
No interior NOISE Vibrations.
PERFECT FIT AND FINISH!
AMAZING TIPS
AMAZING QUALITY and WELDS thru out.

Did I mention no droning or vibration? At 65mph on the highway I CAN TALK AT A NORMAL LEVE... Sorry, used to YELLING... I can talk at a normal level. This system is a true 70mm diameter thru out. I put a dial caliper on every pipe every couple inches and it is as claimed, right down to the tips.

John, I don't know how you did, but at this price point, the others can go pound sand. This system rocks and I'm tickled with it.

MUCH quieter. This system is not as loud as the video clips portray. It is quieter than other system s I've heard and certainly quieter than I'd expected!

Ricky, ITs loud above 4K, as it really opens up. But at normal day in/day out RPMs, it's much appreciated by the others who enjoy your car!

Mike,

I feel the same way about the DGI / Speed Tech Exhaust, as you. I think it is a fantastic sounding exhaust, regardless of price. I also feel the quality is exceptional, but was curious what others would think. I am thrilled to have an independant user concur and I am so glad you are happy with it. Whew! I have to admit, I was a little worried, but based on my personal use, reasoned that you would probably feel exactly like you do. And although not obnoxiously loud, it is considerably louder than stock...without the typically associated unpleasant sounds...It's a great feeling to have the first 6-speeder report so positively! Enjoy it and I appreciate the confidence you placed in me.

John, how do you feel about this exhaust on a Proto 700+ setup like ours? I am very interested but am worried about the design and flow compared to my Fabspeed LOUD. I DO want something a bit quiter... would be nice to have a conversation while driving!

Don,

I think it's a perfect match...and not just because I am selling it. The sound is great, it's light weight and it has 70mm tubing "throughout" for exceptional flow. For me, this is the perfect "blend" of characteristics, but I wanted someone else to say it before I did...after Mikes summary, I feel a little more confident stating it on this forum...I have had some non 6-speed people tell me they like it a lot, too and that it sounds a lot better than other systems they have used or heard.

Don, I really enjoy 6-speed from a personal standpoint and do not want this exhaust venture to over-shadow my personal opinion. From a John D perspective and not Speed Tech - like mike said - this system rocks!

I posted some info last night and then things blew up...

Wanted to comment that I don't know John, Don't have anything to gain or lose by promoting his exhaust. I had a Fabspeed Gen2, had a "RuF"-like factory system that is horrid, and I've heard the PSI system that my buddy has, and I've heard other systems at the track, including the EP.

This System is BY FAR the best solution I could have hoped for... I was getting ready to purchase the EP2 Quiet and would have, had Kevin at UMW answered an email I sent (That probably went into bit heaven). Now I'm THAT MUCH FURTHER ahead... The money I saved in not buying the EP2 Quiet will allow me to upgrade to the software that much sooner!

Thanks Again John for talking me into this system!!!

Mike
