Orli,

What was holding your car on the dyno? The two rear binders looked like they were loose. The car looked like it was moving around way to much.

Cool

If the front drive shafts are disconnected for the test, does that give a higher value since all of the power goes to the rear?

There are alot of ways to get higher numbers. Simply calibrating the run using different standards will give different numbers. Yes, a 2wd dyno gives higher numbers than an awd dyno. The awd dyno also uses higher conversion factors than a 2wd dyno. Generally a 2wd dyno uses a 15% factor while an awd dyno uses a 25% factors. Using higher factors generally just inflates the bottom line. Also don't confuse these conversion factors for fwhp with SAE standard, SAE 1990 Revision, DIN or uncorrected. In addition, conducting the dyno run in different gears (generally 4th or 5th) will produce different figures.

If you are going to compare dyno numbers the set up must be the same, otherwise you are wasting your time. When comparing you own dyno runs, use the same dyno and set up each time if you want your information to have any value.

Two chains were holding the car down. Do you think this Dyno was run was not performed correctly?

When you have movement you have slippage and loss of power. Correctly When we dyno KA we don't rev up each gear. We shift from first to 5th and then start the numbers at about 2100 to 2300 rpm's in fifth gear and go to wot to 7400 rpm's.

I didn't see a probe in the exhaust so I am assuming there were no afr's recorded. What conversion factor was the dyno's computer set to convert to, SAE Standard, SAE Revised, DIN or uncorrected?

The fans for the intercoolers were fairly small and I didn't see a fan for the radiator up front. What was your water temperature reading?

Chad, you just answered my question! This dyno run was performed incorrectly.

Champion Motorsports will have their 4 wheel dyno up and running by the end of June.

Lose the chains and use real straps that can be pulled down. The chains are causing way to much movement and the car will loose rated power on the dyno. That energy is every where, but to the rollers. The more power you make the worse the loss will be.
