Talking Ordered my first mod!!!!

After 14 months of ownership and 2,400 miles, I took the plunge...

Bumper Plugs!!

I looked at the Tech/How To forum and didn't see any installation guide. Do I get these installed at the dealership?

Eric, what are the hp gains?

2400 miles in 14 months? I hope you also plan to install a heavier right foot

I won't speak for Eric, but I know that I felt a "seat-of-the-pants" performance improvement with the bumperplugs, since the air that used to get trapped in the holes now moves cleanly around the bumper...

Did he say 14 months...? I had my bumper plug modification on in the first 14 seconds... I pre-ordered them before I went to Atlanta and it was the first item I installed... and of course they matched the color perfetly!!! Thanks Eric... the plug guy!

Ron, it should be a great run. I have gone on a few of these runs in the past. I am taking Tova, so I will probably drive a little more conservative than usual?????. That's what she wants. Hope to see ya guys. Sunday about 8:15 AM.

To stay on topic, the hp gains for the bumper plugs are 0.002 but if you add a door plug, it doubles the hp. The installation should be done by a trained professional. In a pinch you might want to try it, but allow most of a good five minutes so you don't rush yourself. Believe it or not, like most things, there is a trick to this. DON'T JUST PUSH THE PLUG! You need to put a small bit of tape (ie electrical tape) on the shaft so that the plug stays in place and has a tight fit. This of course does NOT apply to the door plug. The door plug DOES just push right in. Good luck and take your time. Next mod, aluminum pedals.
